The parade leading up to the arrival of Le Tour lasts for several hours. It's an amazing feat of marketing that precedes the riders for 2,000 miles: numerous vehicles with bizarre statues on top, cute girls in costumes tossing out freebies to bystanders and even a troupe of stunt Harley riders.
